Chris Volstad Lights It Up

If you haven't noticed, judging by the attendance, you haven't, the Stones have a phenomenal arm working. Right-hander Chris Volstad has been getting a lot of groundballs. His groundball to flyball ratio is 3.03. That is amazing number. In addition, more than last year, Volstad is getting some swings and misses too. Volstad's WHIP (Walks plus Hits divided by Innings Pitched) is 1.10, which means he barely allows a runner an inning. Furthermore, the 6'7" righty has a 2.58 ERA leading to a 3-1 record. With the Moabs starters under heat from the front office, Volstad could make the jump sooner than later.
